chicken shashlik / chicken kebabs with BBQ sauce

cooking time : 15 minutes
preparation time : 15 minutes
serve: 5  










ingredients :


chicken boneless              500 kg 
onion                                2 chopped in cubes seed removed 
green bell-pepper                  2 chopped in cubes 
ginger garlic paste                1 tsp
salt                                  to taste 
black pepper                  1/2 tsp
lemon juice                    1  tbsp
crushed chilly flakes          1 tsp
tomatoes                      2 chopped in cubes     seeds removed 
oil                            1/2 cup 
tooth pick                 as required 
coal                   1 piece 

ingredients for BBQ sauce :

oil                        2 tbsp
garlic paste               1 tsp
ketchup                    4 tbsp
water                     1/2 cup
salt pinch of
crushed black pepper       1/2 tsp
white vinegar                    1 tbsp
corn flour                     1 tsp



method :  




to prepare shashlik /chicken kebabs 


  • in a mixing bowl take chicken cubes along with 1 tsp ginger garlic paste , 1 tsp pepper crushed , 1 tsp chilly flakes 11 tbsp lemon juice , mix well and set in fridge to get marinate about 1 hour . 

  • after that in marinated chicken add tomato cubes , onion cubes , capsicum cubes and mix well. 

  • heat charcoal and when it get hot place it over the marinated chicken and drop 1 tsp oil over it and immediately lid the pan tightly . and again leave it for 15 minutes . 
  • after that place them over tooth pick . set aside . 


  • now heat 1/2 cup oil over a pan and place chicken sticks over it . rotate stick evenly so that chicken get cooked from the side . in between coking brush prepared BBQ sauce over the chicken . 

  • serve in any get together as finger food .

for BBQ sauce :


  • heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan add garlic paste , ketchup , crushed black pepper when it get a boil add 1/2 cup of water . allow it to get boil again . 
  • in 1/4 cup of water add 1 tsp of corn flour mix this with boiling sauce . add 1 tbsp white vinegar . close the flame  when sauce start thicken .
