cheesy spinach balls with buttery gravy (palak k pakode makhani gravy )

cooking time : 30 minutes 
preparation time: 15 minutes












ingredients :

crumbled cottage cheese                      150 grams 
spinach boiled                                     30-35 grams 
bread crumbs                                   1 cup
corn flour                                        1 tbsp
salt to taste 
carom seeds                                      1/2 tsp
red chilly powder                                 1/2 tsp
garam masala                                          1/2 tsp
oil                                                       3 cups 
butter                                                    1 tbsp
cumin seeds                                         1/4 tsp
cumin powder                                        1/2 tsp
coriander powder                              1 tsp
ginger garlic paste                                1 tbsp
tomato puree                                        1 cup
tomato ketchup                            1 tbsp
cashew paste                                 1/4 cup
water                                             1 cup
milk                                             1/2 cup
cream                                          2 tbsp
fenugreek leaf                             1/4 tsp

to garnish :
cream                                         2 tsp
green chilly                              1 sliced 



method :

to prepare cheese balls (paneer kofta ) 
  • to prepare palak makhni kofta take crumbled paneer (cottage cheese) in a bowl add boiled soinach , bread crumbes , corn flour , salt , carom seeds , red chilly powder , garam masala powder and mix all the things gently . and make fine balls out of this mixture . 

  • heat up oil in a pan to deep fry the balls (koftas) when it get nice golden color transfer it to the platter  and set aside . 




to prepare buttery gravy (makhni gravy ):
  • to prepare makahni gravy heat butter in a pan along with cumin seed red chilly powder ,cumin powder , coriander powder , ginger garlic paste , tomato puree tomato ketchup ,  stir this mixture til it get thickening,

  • add cashew paste and salt and stir for a while .
  • pour water milk and cream allow it to get a boil then close the flame . 

  • add garam masala , fenugreek leaf in the end .
  •  place prepared palak kofta (spinach cheese balls ) in a platter and pour prepared buttery gravy ( makhni gravy ) over it . 

  • garnish it with sliced chilly and cream . serve with naan , roti , steam rice . etc.
