buttermilk fried chicken


preparation time : 15 minutes 
cooking time: 15 to 20 minutes 










ingredients :

chicken pieces                                                  6 to 8
(wings , breast pieces and drumstick
skin removed)
garlic powder                                               1 tsp
black pepper powder                                    1 tsp
lemon juice                                                  1 tbsp
salt to taste
paprika powder / red chilly powder              2 tsp
dried herbs                                                      1 tsp
white pepper powder                                  1 tsp
thyme                                                              1 tsp
butter milk / full cream milk                          1 cup
refined flour / all purpose flour                         1 cup
onion powder                                                  1/2 tsp




method :

to marinade the chicken :


  • take chicken pieces into a large mixing bowl add salt to taste ,1 tsp garlic powder ,1 tsp black pepper powder , 1/2 tsp white pepper powder ,lemon juice , 1 tsp paprika powder , 1/2 tsp dried herbs , 1/2 tsp thyme. toss all the ingredients well . ensure spice get well coated with chicken .


  • now add 1 cup of butter milk and mix well . cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it into refrigerator for at-least 10 hours to marinate .

 



    now take refined flour into a bowl season it with  little salt , 1/2 tsp paprika powder , 1 tsp garlic powder , little bit thyme ,dried herbs and pepper powder , and 1 tsp onion powder .mix well and set aside . 


  • remove chicken from refrigerator after marination and put chicken pieces on flour mixture . toss it well . ensure flour get well coated with chicken . put this into a plate .

  • now again dip chicken pieces on left over butter milk and again coat it with flour mixture .

  • deep fry it on medium heat until chicken get light golden brown color .
  • serve hot with any sauce / dip .
