Tahiri


preparation time : 10 minutes 
cooking time : 20 -30 minutes









ingredients :


rice                        1 cup
desi ghee  /oil                 1/2 tbsp
cinnamon stick                  2
onion                             1 chopped 
red chilly powder                 1/2 tsp
cumin powder                       1/2 tsp
turmeric powder               1/4 tsp
salt                                 1 tsp
tomato puree                  2 tbsp
beans                               1/4 cups
carrot                                 1/4 cup
potato chopped                  2 
cauliflower                        1/2 cup chopped 
water                                3 cup
lemon juice                      2 tsp
coriander leaf                  2 tbsp

garnish :

coriander leaf                  2 tsp
garam masala                  1/4 tsp


method :



  • heat ghee in a pan add cinnamon stick , cumin seeds , chopped onion and clove and sauté till onion get nice brown color .

  • add cumin powder , turmeric powder , red chilly powder , peas , cauliflower , carrot , potato , tomato puree , salt and mix well . add water and cover and cook for 5 minutes .

  • add rice , lemon juice , and cover the pan and cook for 15 minutes .
  • now add fresh coriander leaf  and serve in platter .

  • garnish it with fresh coriander leaf and garam masala .serve it with any raita or salad
