chicken stuffed potato rosti

cooking time : 20 minutes
preparation time : 15 minutes
serve: 4

ingredients :

potato boiled                 5
egg                                  1 

for filling :
chicken mince                500 grams
ginger garlic paste           1 tbsp
turmeric powder                  1 tsp
red chilly paste                    1 tbsp
rosemary                          1/3 tsp
crushed black pepper                1/2 tsp 
oil                                         1 cup

for sauce:
oil                                3 tbsp
curry leaf                       4
onion paste                      1 tbsp
ginger garlic paste            1 tsp
tomato paste                        2 tbsp
tomato puree                       1/2 cup
salt to taste 

method :  
  • first boil potato in enough water peel it and roughly mash it .set aside in a bowl . 
  • break 1 egg in separate bowl and whisk . set aside . 
to prepare filling :
  • heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan ginger garlic paste and stir for a while then add chicken mince, salt , red chilly paste , rosemary, crushed black pepper , and 1 tsp turmeric powder mix well and cover and cook on medium slow flame for 5 minutes . 

  • take enough quantity of mashed potato in your palm and press it . then place 1 tbsp prepared chicken filling on it and cover it and again make fine ball . repeat the processes till filling and mashed potato get done . 

  • heat 5 tbsp oil a pan now dip each filled balls in egg and deep fry it in oil .set aside  
to prepare sauce :


  • heat 3 tbsp oil in a separate pan add curry leaf , ginger garlic paste stir for a while then add 1 tbsp onion paste and sauté till it get nice golden color . 
  • now add salt , tomato puree tomato paste and 1/2 cup of water and cover and cook for 5 to 8  minutes or sauce get thicken . 

  • at this stage add fried potato balls . and stir for while so that sauce get coated with balls . 
  • remove in a platter and serve in any party . 
for vegetarians you can try this recipe with cheese mixture too instead of using chicken use soft cheese . and season it with little bit pepper salt and butter . and enjoy .
