punjabi roasted murg (roasted chicken )






cooking time : 40 minutes preparation time : 10 minutes 












ingredients :

whole chicken skin remove         1
red chilly powder         1 tbsp
ginger garlic paste            2 tbsp
grated onion                            2 medium size
cumin powder             1 tsp
lemon juice                   5 tbsp
mustard oil                     1/2 cup
black pepper powder         1 /2 tsp
salt to taste
all spice powder               1 tsp
mustard paste                         1 tsp
papaya paste                        1 tbsp




method :


  • take chicken in a large mixing bowl add lemon juice , red chilly powder , ginger garlic paste , papaya paste , mustard paste , salt , cumin powder , pepper powder , all spice powder , mustard oil , rub the spices with chicken .cover and set it in fridge for over night or 5 to 6 hours 


  • now heat oil in a pan add grated onion and allow it to get golden color  then add the marinated chicken and cook. let chicken change the color . flip it occasionally . 

  • add 1/2 cup of water and cover and cook after that . ( you can bake it in oven at 180 degree for 45 minutes )

  • remove in a platter and serve .
