Chandi korma (spicy egg with chicken )

cooking time : 20 minutes preparation time : 15 minutes









ingredients :

skinless chicken                    1 kg (well washed )
yogurt                                 1 cup
chopped onion                       3 
clarified butter                  1 cup
salt to taste 
edible silver leaf              3 
boiled egg                           3
cardamom powder               1 tsp
rose petals                          few
kewra water                    1 tsp
rose water                      1 tsp
green chilly paste              2 tbsp
ginger garlic paste              1 tbsp

whole black pepper               6 
garam masala                      1 tsp

preparation :
  • boil and peel  eggs . and cover then with silver leaf .set aside . 
  • in large mixing bowl take chicken pieces add yogurt , salt , cardamom powder , ginger garlic paste , whole black pepper , green chilly paste mix well . cover with plastic wrap and set aside for 30 minutes to marinate . 
method :
  • heat ghee / clarified butter in a pan add chopped onion and sauté till it get golden color , add marinated chicken and sauté till chicken changes color . 
  • cover and cook for 10 minutes . 
  • add kerwa water , rose water , and mix well . add pinch of garam masala and cover and cook till oil comes out from it . and chicken get cooked . 
  • remove in a platter and garnish with rose petals and boiled and covered eggs and Julian chopped ginger .
