ingredients :
skinless whole chicken 1 kg
egg boiled 6
ginger garlic paste 1.5 tbsp
salt to taste
red chilly powder 1 tbsp
cumin powder 1 tsp
salt to taste
onion 2 fried
finely chopped tomatoes 2
turmeric powder 1 tsp
yogurt 1/2 cup
oil 1 cup
bay leaf 1
green cardamom 2
black pepper crushed 1 tsp
whole spice powder/garam masala 1 tsp
green chillies sliced 6
dried plums 1 cup (50 grams)
chopped fresh coriander leaf 1 cup
lemon juice 1 lemon juice
to garnish :
fried onion 2 tbsp
fresh green chopped coriander 2 tbsp
preparation :
- soak the plum in warm water and after 30 minutes remove he seeds from plum drain water set aside .
- boil the eggs in water and peel it . fry it in 2 tbsp oil so that eggs get patches over it .remove in a platter and set aside .
- in a blender jar take fried onion , 1 tsp ginger garlic paste , 2 chopped tomatoes ,6 green chillies , salt , 1 tbsp red chilly powder , 1 tsp cumin powder and run it . make fine paste and set aside.
- take whole chicken in a bowl and squeeze 1 lemon juice over it . and rub 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste on it too and allow it to get marinate for 30 minutes .
- heat up oil in heavy bottom pan add bay leaf and prepared mixture of tomato and onion and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes . and cover and cook till oils comes out from it .
- after that add marinated chicken in this mixture and sauté gently chicken chicken changes the color , this may take 5 to 8 minutes . add salt ,plums, 2 cups of water and cover and cook fr 20 minutes . (you should cover the pan tightly so that steam do not go out from pan ).
- after that add garam masala powder , chopped coriander leaf , pepper powder and boiled egg . again cover and cook for 5 minutes or till oil comes out .
- remove in a platter and serve with rice .
