sooji ka halwa
cooking time : 20 minutes
preparation time : 15 minutes
ingredients :
semolina 1 cup
green cardamom 5
sugar 1 cup
clarified butter 1 cup
kewra essence few drops
orange food color 1/2 tsp
pistachio 2 tbsp
almonds 2 tbsp
raisins 2 tbsp
method :
in a pan add semolina and stir for 4 to 5 minutes on slow flame . remove in a platter .set aside .
in the same pan add ghee /clarified butter add cardamom seeds ,when seeds crackle add semolina and stir for 5 to 6 minutes on medium flame .
add 2 cups of water raisins, nuts , almonds .cashews . sauté till water get soaked by semolina .add drop of kewra esense continue stir .
with the help of spatula stir and cook till semolina do not stick with pan shown in in picture .
