china grass /balli malayee at home

preparation time :nil
cooking time   :10-15 minutes 







ingredients :



full cream milk                      1 liter
china grass                            1 cup
sugar                                     2 tbsp
saffron                                  2 tbsp  dissolved in water (optional)
nuts (cashew pistachio)                     2 tbsp




method :



  • cut the china grass into small small pieces and dip it into 1/2 cup water for 20 minutes .
  • boil milk in a pan add sugar and continue stirring . add saffron water and boil and stir.
  • add china grass in boiling milk and stir till china grass get completely dissolved in milk .
  • remove it into plate and let it be cool down for 30 minutes on room temperature .
  • put nuts on top of it and place it into fridge .
  • make cuts on it with the knife and serve chilled
