wada paaon

 About : this is typical mumbai street food available almost all the places of mumbai .






ingredients :


bred (paaon )   2 to 3
cumin seed        1 tsp
coriander seed   1/2 tsp
boiled potato      3 to 5 medium size
red chilly powder   2 tsp
green chilly paste    1 tsp
ginger garlic paste    1 tsp
grated ginger            1 inch
green fresh coriander
leafs                           3 tsp
musted seed               1 tsp
funnel seed                   1 tsp
Asafoetida ( heeng)       1 tsp
curry leafs                   6 to 8
oil to fry
salt to taste




To make batter :


 in 5 to 7 tsp gram flour ( besan )  pinch of Asafoetida ( heeng) , 1 tsp  turmeric , salt little bit ,cooking soda ,and 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste  add little bit water ... make a thik paste .avoid lumps :








 to make masala :
  • in a deep pan take 1 tsp oil 
  • add some mustered 1 tsp  , cumin seeds 1/2 tsp, add grated coriander seeds 1/2 tsp fennel seeds 
curry leafs  5 to 7
  • finely chopped green chilly 2 to 3 
and grated ginger a very little .turmeric 1 tsp  and salt to taste
  • now add mashed potato , 
  • garam masala a small  pinch 
  •  1 tsp lime juice mix it properly 
  • add green fresh chopped coriander 
  • make small balls of same size .

    now in a deep fry pan take heat up oil . and first dip the potato ball in the batter of gram flour and fry it in oil . avoid deep frying .... must be nice yellow color ..

    cut the bred from middle and first add green chatny paste , and red chilly powder and then place the ball , and serve hot ...( as shown in the pic )
