rajma masala (red kidney bean curry )

preparation time :nil
cooking time   :30-40 minutes 









ingredients :



red kidney beans             1 cup boiled
Cinnamon stick                      1 inch
ginger paste                            1 tsp
garlic paste                              1 tsp
oil                                            3 tbsp
green cardamom                       3
clove                                        3
onion paste                                1 cup (approx 2 onion finely grated )
red chilly powder                       1 tsp
coriander powder                       1 tsp
cumin powder                             1 tsp
water                                           1/4 cup
salt to taste
tomato grated                               1 cup ( 3 tomatoes )
garam masala                                1/2 tsp
coriander leaves                              1 tbsp
green chilly                                       2 to 3




method :

  • heat up oil in a pan add Cinnamon stick green cardamom , clove,ginger paste , garlic paste  and grated onion and saute till onion get nice brown color .
  • add tomato , coriander powder , cumin powder , red chilly powder , salt and some water and cover the pan and cook till oil comes out .
  • add boiled kidney beans and saute for 3 minutes on high flame .
  • add left water of beans and cover again and cook for 10 minutes on low flame .
  • add fenugreek leaves coriander leaves , garam masala ,and green chilly .
  • remove in serving ball and sprinkle  green green chilly and fresh coriander .
  • serve with rice .
