murg korma (white chicken curry)

preparation time :10 minutes

cooking time   :30 minutes 




ingredients:


chicken                   300 gram
oil                                2 tbsp
onion                         1 medium size finely chopped
ginger grated          1 tsp
garlic grated            1 tsp
curd                             1/2 cup
coconut powder     2 tbsp
green chilly              1
cashew nut              16 to 18 soaked in water 
water                          1/2 cup
salt to taste 
cream                           1/2 cup
fenugreek leaves      1/2 tsp
coriander leaves      1 tbsp
mace                              1
clove                               3
bay leaf                          1
green cardamom        2 
black cardamom        1


method :



  • heat up oil in a pan add grated onion and saute till onion gets light brown color add grated ginger grated garlic and saute for 1 minute .
  • put this onion mixture into grinder jar and run it along with curd cashew nut ,green chilly and coconut powder .
  • rub this paste of onion and nuts into chicken pieces and set aside for 1 hour to marinade .
  • heat up a pan , add clove , green cardamom ,mace, black cardamom , bay leaf and saute for 1 minute.add marinated chicken pieces , salt and saute for 3 to 4 minute  on high flame .
  • add water and cover the pan and cook on slow heat for 10 minutes .
  • open pan and add cream fenugreek leaves , coriander leave and saute 
  • remove in a serving plate .and serve hot .
