kashmiri naan

cooking time : 20 minutes
preparation time : 15 minutes










ingredients :


refined flour                                 3 cups
oil                                          1/2 cups
yeast                               2 tsp
baking powder                    1/2 tsp
salt                                         1/2 tsp
egg                                         2
ground sugar                          1/2 cup
cashew                                   1 cup
pistachio                                  1 cup
cherries                                  1 cup

method :

  • in a large mixing bowl take 3 cup refined flour 1/2 tsp 1/2 cup oil 2 tsp yeast , 1/2  tsp baking powder , 1/2 tsp baking 1/2 tsp salt , 1/2 cup ground sugar, 2/3 of beaten  egg, enough water and make fine dough . cover with plastic wrap and set side for 1 hour .

  • again remove the dough and knead it at-least 15-20 minutes with your hands.


  • make 4 equal parts .and flatten it .with the kitchen roller . set aside . 
  • take a baking tray place a flatten dough and spread  1 tbsp ground sugar over it. with cashew nuts , and almonds .cover it with other flatten flour mixture .

  • brush it with beaten egg , spread almonds , cashew nuts and cherry . 

  • lastly spread normal sugar over the top .
  • do the same with other. 

  • bake it in oven at 180 degree for 15-17 minutes . 

  • serve with kashmiri chay , tea , snacks ,or with any gravy chicken .
