methi chicken (murg methi )


cooking time : 20 minutes preparation time : 5 minutes 














ingredients :


skin less chicken              1/2 kg 
curd                                    1 cup
salt to taste 
fresh fenugreek leaf                   2 cups
coriander powder                      1 tsp
cumin powder                            1 tsp
ginger garlic paste                      1 tbsp
red chilly powder                       1 tsp
ghee/ oil                                   1 cup
ginger chopped in Julian           1  tsp
onion                                        2 finely chopped 
fresh cream                          1/2 cup
bay leaf                                   2
green chillies                     6 
lemon juice                     1 

method :
  • heat oil and ghee  in a pan add bay leaf , and chopped  onion sauté till onion get nice golden color then add marinated chicken and saunter for 5 minutes . add 1 lemon juice and sauté . 
  • add curd and sauté for 3 minutes then add red chilly powder , turmeric powder , coriander powder , green chillies , Julian chopped ginger and sauté . add salt cover and cook on slow flame . 
  • open the lid and add fresh fenugreek (methi ) and sauté on high flame . 
  • add cup of cream .cover and cook for 5 minutes more . remove in a bowl and serve .
