Daal gosht ( Daalcha) mutton with lentiles



Preparation time : Nil
Cooking time :  30 minutes 














ingredients :



split chickpeas or garbanzo beans.(chana daal )         1/ 2 cup
yellow pigeon peas  ( arhar daal )                               1/2 cup
green chilly                                              3 to 4 chopped
salt     to taste
tomato                     1 medium size
turmeric powder       1/2 tsp


  • put all the ingredients in pressure cooker and cook till two wist el come. then whisk the (mixture)daal for 2 minutes and check all the grain cooked fully ..




for mutton :



mutton         1 kg
coriander powder         1 tsp
red chilly powder           1 tsp
ginger garlic paste           1 tbsp
curd                               1/2 cup
salt to taste
cumin powder                          1 tsp
oil                                           1 tbsp
chopped onion                           1 medium size finely chopped
chopped tomato                      1 medium size finely chopped
garam masala ( all spice powder )            1 tsp
bay leaf                      1






  • in a pressure cooker heat up oil add chopped onion and cook till it become nice light brown  .
  • add mutton and sauté 
  • add ginger garlic paste  curd and tand saute for 3 to  minutes . 
  • now add all spices and cover the cooker and cook until two witsel comes and mutton fully cooked 
  • now stir the mutton till oils comes out 
  • add the prepared daal into this mutton and mix well .
  • add 1/2 lemon juice . mix well remove in bowl .

for Tarka :



heat up 1 tbsp oil in  a pan . add  one finely chopped onion in it and cumin seed . wait till the onion get light brown color . put this mixture into prepared daal gosht bowl ,.... yummy dish is ready to serve ...
