kadhi pakora ( punjabi kadhi )








preparation time :nil
cooking time   :30 minutes 










ingredients :

for kadhi gravy :



curd                 1 cup
gram flour          2 tbsp
oil                      3 tbsp
water                  3 cup
dry red chilly            3
mustard seed         1/2 tsp
cumin seed             1/2 tsp
fenugreek seed       1/4 tsp
ginger paste              1 tsp
garlic paste                2 tsp
turmeric powder            1/2 tsp
cumin powder                 1 tsp
coriander powder              1tsp
garam masala powder        1/2 tsp
fenugreek leafs                     1/2 tsp
green chilly                            2  sliced




for pakora :



gram flour               1 cup
ginger paste             1/2 tsp
garlic paste                 1/2 tsp
coriander leafs              1/2 cup
salt to taste
onion                          2 big sized finely chopped
baking soda                1 pinch
water                          1/4 cup
red chilly powder          1 tsp
green chilly chopped       2
cumin powder                1/2 tsp






method :



  • take curd and gram flour in a bowl and mix together .add 4 cup of water and mix so well . no lump should be there .
  • heat up oil in a pan add cumin seed , mustard seed , fenugreek seeds,red chilly , ginger paste , garlic paste .stir for one minute .
  • add coriander powder , turmeric powder , cumin powder ,salt red chilly powder and mix well .
  • pour the prepared gram flour and curd mixture into the pan and cook for 35 minutes on medium flame .
  • add  garam masala powder

pakora / fritters

  • to make batter of pakora / fritters . take a bowl add gram flour , cumin powder , , coriander leafs  , turmeric powder ,salt onion .red chilly powder , baking soda and mix well add some water and make batter .
  • heat up oil in a pan and fry the pakoras balls  with the help of tea spoon .
  • add  this pakora into prepared kadhi / gravy 
  • sprinkle coriander leafs and green chilly
