paneer makhni (cheese butter gravy )


preparation time :15 minutes
cooking time   :30 minutes 






ingredients :



paneer /cottage cheese                     500
tomato                                        6 boiled
butter                                             2 tbsp
ginger grated                                  1 tsp
garlic grated                                   2 tsp
cumin seed                                    1/4 tsp
red chilly powder                            1 tsp
cumin powder                                 1 tsp
coriander powder                            1 tsp
salt to taste
water                                            1/4 cup
tomato ketchup                                  1 tbsp
milk                                                  1/2 cup chilled
fenugreek leaves                                 1 tsp
garam masala                                      1/2 tsp
cream                                                 2 tbsp



to garnish :



cream                                     2 tbsp
green chilly                              2 sliced length wise
coriander leaves                       1 tsp




method :

  • to make tomato puree . put boiled tomato into ginger and grind well  and make fine paste sieve this puree into a bowl and set aside .
  • heat up butter in a pan add grated ginger grated garlic cumin seed coriander powder cumin powder , red chilly powder and saute for one minute add water 
  • add prepared tomato puree , tomato ketchup and cook on slow flame till oil separates .
  • add some water and  paneer/ cottage cheese  pieces and saute cover for 2 more minutes .
  • add cream , garam masala , fenugreek leaves and mix well .
  • remove in a serving plate and garnish it with fresh coriander leaf ,cream and chilly flicks
